A little about me..

I love life! It is so exciting. I'm the type of person that likes to meet people and experience everything. I was not born for a 9 to 5 job doing the same thing everyday. I thrive on change, challenges and new experiences in my work as well as my personal life. I can be very spontaneous and like the freedom to do what I want when I want.

I've always been the type of person to look at the positive in a situation. You've heard the example, depending on your perspective, that the glass is either half full or half empty. I've always been the type to look at what I have rather then what I don't. When we look at life that way, we realize how fortunate we really are.

My wife and I love to travel and see the world. We've been through most of the States in our Country and have had the opportunity to visit 28 other Countries, taking us to most parts of the world.  We try to travel at least one week a month and one month a year.  Our last big trip was a month in Europe in 2004 and we had a blast.

Of all the places I've traveled, Bombay India was the most unusual. That was the only place that made me nervous. It took me a full day to get use to it, but once I did, I enjoyed it.

We have many favorite memories with all our traveling and Paris, France is by far one of our favorites.  I was going to propose to my wife in Paris but got so anxious I proposed here in the States.  We ended up having our honeymoon in Paris and many other parts of France instead.  Now we make it a tradition to go back to Paris each year.

In 2003, my wife and I traveled across Ireland staying in many wonderful hotels but the one that sticks out the most is the Adare Manor Castle.  It was spectacular!  We also enjoyed a few days in Amsterdam.  Talk about a party place where anything goes.  Then we finished off 2003 in Bora Bora, Tahiti  This has become another favorite of ours.  We stayed in one of those over water bungalows.  Words can not describe how amazing the trip was.

Another place that always sticks out in my mind is horseback riding in the jungles of Costa Rica. It was beautiful and we were able to run the horses as much as we wanted. There were parrots flying overhead, monkey's up in the trees and all that beautiful scenery. We also found a deep slow moving river and decided to swim. It was so nice. People either swam in their underwear or just jumped in the water in their jeans. I'll never forget the experience.

Another highlight was going through the Panama Canal. It was very exciting the first time. I've been through it so many times since that I usually sleep through most of it now but the first time was a thrill.

We had many vacation trips in 2005 including a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise on the Diamond Princess, as well as a week in Cancun, Mexico.  September was a special surprise trip my wife planned for my birthday taking us to Napa Valley and San Fransisco.  October was a trip to Vermont for Fall Foliage and New York City.  November was a trip back to Jamaica and December is a trip to the mountains for some skiing.  Of course none of this includes our 3 day trips to Las Vegas, Palm Springs or San Diego on the beach.  Did I say we love to travel?  I think that's an understatement.

My wife and I also love collecting art and have some of the top artists in the world.  We have a very beautiful large home;  much more then what two people need but I'm always joking that we need a larger house just so we'd have more wall space.  Every bit of wall space is taken.  We now have to rotate our art.  Our collection includes pieces from artists such as, Andy Warhol, Peter Max, Royo, Marcel Mouly, Tomasz Rut, Fabian Perez, Cao Yong and many others.

I'm very active and there are so many things that I like to do. Two at the top of the list are taking the top off my Jeep Wrangler and cruising on a nice warm day playing my favorite music, or jumping on my Harley Davidson and hit'n the road.  There's nothing like it!

I'm pretty much a loner. I'm just as happy being alone as I am being with other people. I also like to work out. Running, lifting weights, boxing and aerobics are my favorite workouts.

I enjoy photography, going to the movies and keeping up with the latest releases and many sports including: Scuba Diving, Snow Skiing, Water Skiing, Horseback Riding, Repelling, Bowling, Table Tennis and Billiards.

My wife and I also love getting a limo, going out for dinner, driving to our favorite places for a drink, and sometimes dancing all night long.

Other than entertainment, I have two other businesses that keep me busy.  One is real estate investing.  It's the only thing I've found I enjoy other than performing.  We buy properties that we rent out, we have homes built that we turn around and sell, we buy foreclosures and we now do land development.  It's a great business that really suits me.  For more information on Gier Enterprises, Inc. click HERE.  My other business is regarding Identity Theft.  We have a product that we are just about ready to release that helps people avoid it and if one becomes a victim how to quickly solve the problem.

Family

I have one sister, Coleen, who's a radiology assistant and a brother, Anthony, that's a schoolteacher. I'm the oldest and was fortunate enough to have parents that have stayed married and are still happy together to this day. My dad is somewhat retired but worked most of his life as a car salesman and my mom had the job of taking care of us and trying to keep everything together. My sister has three kids, Joel, Corey and Sharee. Our whole family is very close and we get together as often as possible. I was born and raised in San Diego and am the only one that has moved away. If I had my choice, I'd be in San Diego. I just love that city but my career takes me to other places.

Something I admire about my parents is that they didn't allow their childhoods to ruin them the rest of their lives. Without going into a lot of details, both of my parents had very difficult childhoods: Divorced parents, sexual and physical abuse, very poor, always moving and so many other things. They were determined not to allow their childhoods to be an excuse to give up on life.

They wanted to work hard to become successful
honest people despite all they had experienced
growing up. And I think a major driving force for
them was to make sure that their children never
experienced what they had. Well, they accomplished
it. We were raised in a middle class home
with love, support, faith in God and honesty.

My parents tie the knot!

It's amazing to me that people use things that have happened in their lives as an excuse for the way they behave or the way they have become. It's just an excuse. We all have choices. We all have it in us to become good and successful people. It does take a lot of work but it's worth it. My life would have been so different if my parents would have taken the easy way out and just made excuses. But they didn't! And I am so thankful and admire them tremendously because of it.

I'm the only person in my family that's made entertainment a career. I had some friends in a drama class in Jr. High School and they talked me into dropping my Spanish class and taking drama with them. I'm so glad they did. My Spanish isn't very good, but oh well!

Another thing I'm thankful for is that my parents have been very supportive of my decision to make entertainment a career. Most parents, it seems, either push their kids into entertainment or they are very unsupportive of the persons choice to go that direction. It's usually one extreme or the other. I was very fortunate to have parents that let me make the decisions for my life without pressure to do what they wanted me to do.

relationships

I'm not one to be in a relationship just to be in one.  And when I am in a relationship it seems to only last a month or two before I need to move on.  I only seem to take the time for a relationship if it's with an extraordinary person. And being as I am very picky, I don't often find people I consider extraordinary.  However, I have found someone that is extraordinary and our relationship has lasted a lot longer then my usual month or two.  In fact, we were married Sept. 7th, 2002 and I am

thrilled.  Terri and I compliment each other completely.  She is very special and we just have a blast together.  We make each other laugh, we both love to travel, she's spontaneous, she can dress up and look amazingly sexy to go out for dinner and dancing or jump on the back of my Harley Motorcycle for a cruise down to the beach.  And what I love the most about us is that we have NO secrets between us.  She knows everything there is to know about me and she still loves me.  I think we are very lucky to have the love that we share and I look forward to a long life together.  I never dreamed that this kind of a relationship could exist.  For more pictures of us and some of our travels just click HERE.  We have no children other then our wonderful pets, Maddie our dog and Harley and Venezia our two cats.

HERE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE QUOTES:

Attitudes are contagious….is yours worth catching?

Unless you try to do something beyond what you
have already mastered, you will never grow.

Don't wait for your ship to come in….swim out to it.

Some people dream of success….while others wake up and work hard at it.

You can't build a reputation on what you're going to do.

You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

The one who says it can't be done is generally passed up by someone doing it.

"Success is going from failure to failure without a loss of enthusiasm."
 - Winston Churchill

You make a living by what you get; you make a life by what you give.

"I want people to know that in every life, there are storms. But we must remember to play after every storm and to celebrate the gift of life as we have it, or else life becomes a task, rather than a gift." - Mattie Stepanek (11 yr. old poet)

Losing:

It demands that you take a fresh look at your faults and misguided expectations. In fact, if you're ready to learn from it, the experience of losing can help turn you into a winner.

The question isn't whether you win or lose - it's whether you're willing to accept some losses now so you can get better in the future.

"True success is always the last of a string of failed attempts to get it right."

The Quote I Need Most:

"Sometimes the most urgent and vital thing you can possibly do, is take a complete rest." - Ashleigh Brilliant
